Mangatique (“we”, “us”) is an English-language interactive story Progressive Web App available at https://mangatique.fun. This policy explains what information we process when you use the service.
Kids world (6–12): no advertisements and no behavioural ad tracking (COPPA / GDPR-K oriented). Parental PIN gates profile switching. Child profiles cannot open Adults catalogue entries — enforced in data/routing, not only UI chrome.
Young world (13–17): no network advertisements in this build.
Mangatique is intended for users who meet the minimum age in their region for romantic interactive entertainment — typically 16+ or 18+ where required. Characters in our stories are adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK where consent rules apply).
On-device progress: Story progress, character look, soft currency (“Coins”), unlocked endings and similar preferences are stored in your browser’s local storage on your device. This data does not leave your device unless you later opt into a cloud account feature (not offered in the current MVP).
Technical logs: Standard web server or CDN logs may include IP address, user agent, referrer and timestamps when you request pages or assets. We use these for security, reliability and abuse prevention.
Advertising: We use Google AdSense on Adults-world screens and on neutral pages (such as this Privacy Policy and the Terms). Ads are never shown in the Kids world and are also disabled in the Young world. A rewarded-ad control may appear as a local placeholder that grants soft currency (“Coins”); it does not require a purchase. Ad partners may set cookies or advertising identifiers and receive device/browser signals subject to their own policies (see Google’s advertising privacy materials).
Young world (13–17): no AdSense network ads in this build, as a conservative teen-safety choice.
We use local storage (and, when ads/analytics are enabled, cookies or similar technologies) to remember your age confirmation, progress and settings. You can clear site data in your browser settings; doing so resets local progress.
Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies: legitimate interests (running and securing the service), consent (non-essential cookies/ads when introduced), and contract (providing the interactive stories you request).
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with infrastructure providers (hosting, CDN) and, once enabled, advertising or analytics vendors as processors or independent controllers under their terms.
Local progress stays until you clear it. Server logs are retained only as long as needed for security and operations (typically up to 90 days unless a longer period is required for an investigation).
Depending on your location you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because MVP progress is stored locally, deleting site data in your browser is the fastest way to erase progress on that device.
